Series of six 11x17" Flyers
I was commissioned to create branding content for the Arts and Humanities Department of York College of Pennsylvania. Extensive research led to an understanding of the necessary design for this project. Both original and contemporary designs from the Bauhaus era inform this geometric blueprint. Each major is represented by different shapes and forms contributing to conceptual themes. Environmental & Sustainability studies utilize a spherical shape to demonstrate longevity and resourcefulness. Literary & Textual studies depict an architectural design that employs the imagery of a bookshelf. Medical Humanities can be interpreted as a pill or stethoscope. Spanish has dual imagery: the top sphere represents a globe and the bottom, a compass. Film & Media Arts depicts a lens and the projection of a film wheel. Philosophy utilizes structural columns that allude to the Parthenon.
